An Arab family was considering putting their grandfather in a nursing
home. Since most of the facilities were completely full, they had to put him
in a Jewish home. After a few weeks in the Jewish facility, they came to
visit Grandpa.
"How do you like it here?" asks the grandson.
"It's wonderful! Everyone here is so courteous and respectful," says
Grandpa.
"We're so happy for you. We were worried that this was the wrong
place for you. You know, since you are a little different from everyone."
"Oh, no! Let me tell you about how wonderfully they treat the
residents here," Grandpa says with a big smile.
"There's a musician here -- he's 85 years old. He hasn't played the
violin in 20 years and everyone still calls him 'Maestro'!"
"There is a judge in here -- he's 95 years old. He hasn't been on the
bench in 30 years and everyone still calls him 'Your Honor'!"
And there's a physician here -- 90 years old. He hasn't been
practicing medicine for 25 years and everyone still calls him'Doctor'!"
"And what about you Grandpa" - asks the grandson.
"And me...., I haven't had sex for 35 years and they still call me 'The
fucking Arab!"

conference in Elexandria

On Sunday I will leave Beit Sahour to Amman, and on Monday morning I will fly to Alexandria to attend a confrence about religion. The people who will attend this coference are Patreiarchs, Bishops and head of churches. I will represent our Bishop Younan in this conference. I asked him to give me his hat in order to be a real Bishop.I come back on Friday to Amman at 11am. if it possible I will continue to Beit Sahour and cross the bridge , if not I spend a n ight in Amman and cross the bridge von Suterday.

About Rami, i know he was very busy, so when he phoned me, he had just seen the kids home, and was going to sleep at the hospital.
I hope Ghadir is fine already, it's maybe now the time to know more about her.

From Maher (abu Aita) we would like to know more, since it has been really long time that we didn't have contact, almost since the stories of Midhat pieing at night in the water bottle in the fridge instead of the toilette. So tell us where do you live, how about Christine, the kids, what you do and so on..

About me, since i changed to the Bonn University, i have almost no time.. full schedule; 21 hours of classes, 15h of exercises and 14-18h work ! still the long transportation ways, and the hours between the classes in the university (I'm glad there is Internet and toilettes at the university).. It's exhausting but motivating.

So, maybe someone new would surprise us and write at the blog.

Nael, although I write sometimes but I can write more and will try to do so. Since I came back from Geneva last month and I was ill. Today I am feeling almost good. Mid this month, Rami and I were in Madaba attending consultation on responsible tourism. The results were very good. On the 6th of December till the 18th I will be again in Europe. First I will be in Geneva for around four days attending a seminar and then will go to Madrid to attend the European Social Forum. I am still working on building the consultancy firm but things are slower than I was expecting. I am working right now in Dar Annadwa on a new program which was kicked off but still needs more work.
Ibtisam is not feeling well and has the headache like before and sometimes even more. Saif is doing well in the school and he likes what he is doing in the school contrary to his teachers.

Uruguay

Hello family
as some of u already know, tomorrow i will be heading to Uruguay. spend the week there. i will be back in Buenos Aires on Saturday, spend another couple days here, buy some tickets to my destinations and head off my way :)
in uruguay, i will spend the 1st night 27th in Colonia, nice small town. the second and third night,28,29th, i will be in the capital, Montevideo. from the 29th, till the 1st, i will head up to a place called Punta Del Este. which is one of the most famous beach resorts in south america ...aaaaah yeaaaaaaa ;)
anyway, if u want to feel jealous, u can already google those places under images until i submit mine...

And Ghadir made today the same operation, which went well, as Rami told me, and she might leave the hospital tomorrow, 3as-salama.

Chocolate before the operation?!!

Uncle Munir was hospitalised yesterday early in the morning in preparation for his operation. Some family members had joined him in solidarity from the moment he departed to the hospital. The rest came in a bit later. Due to the numbers of operation that day at the hospital, his operation was delayed for some time. However while Munir way lying down in his room waiting for his turn for the operation, Rifat and Janette had opened the box of chocolate (meant for after the success of the operation) and started eating!!! Luckily, the operation went well and Munir is fine now. We wish him a speedy recovery and good health.

dear family memebers
i have received as a present a new perfume called 212 sexy men. i have had Joop perfume before, and also Hugo Boss. I have tried putting them in my Ferrari, but it didn't attract as many girls as possible. 212 sexy men, i love it. u should all try it out...

sorry i missed the annual conference sponsored by Ferrari and Swatch. i think that the Samsung and Sony Ericson will be good companies to talk to for sponosring, however we could also try talking to Nokia and see.

Meeting Minutes

Here i would like to write you the minutes of the family VoIp annual gold meeting, which took place today at 11:00 middle Europe time- sponsored by Ferrari and Swatch ;-) :
1. The absence of the organizer (Ibtisam).
2. The mice' noises at Rula's House (it was yazan)
3. The electricity scandals (!) and payment systems
4. Business and IT-Solutions products
5. and about some other improvement projects for darQassis and the Qassisians' circumstances.

Number of participants: 5

The annual meeting started 15 min. late, because the ICE Train of my father to Frankfurt Airport had 30 min. delay, so i had to wait with him at the Bonn Hauptbahnhof (station).
Don't worry he'll get the Airplane because he was going anyway 3 hours earlier. Tonight about 10p.m he'll reach Amman to meet Rifat, Rami and the others.
We wish them lots of fun..

wedding party for Nael and Debora

The party yesterday was beutiful. Only 26 people atteended. Lot of food and drink . not too much dance. Jamal, Kawkab,. Basem, Qais, Karin, Sabina, Franz, Duna, Amjad, Bisan, Najeeb Samaera and some friend for Nael and Debora were there too.
i went to sleep at 3am. others stayes at 5am. and others returned home at 8am. The parents of Debora came surprised them by their coming to Bon for this occasion. There are nice and we spent a short but good time together.
