
After over twenty years of experiments I reached the "CCT", today's ultimate spice mixture for fried eggs.
Everybody has enjoyed the classical Pepper+Salt as a "fried-egg beginner", but soon it would be quite boring, it makes eggs taste like bacon, vegetable or any daily Pepper+Salt stuff.
The Palestinian "Bhar بهار طبيخ mixture" I put on the first 2.700 eggs I ate in my life was outstanding, but the problem with this spice is that you always want more and more, till you won't taste the egg any more. This took me to weird ideas like adding ketchup and mayonnaise, which mixed the feeling of eating an egg to that of Hamburger.
For the last two years (on around 230 eggs) I've been trying with cinnamon قرفة, saffron زعفران, curry كيري, clove كبش قرنفل, Nutmegs جوزة الطيب etc.
some were good other I couldn't eat..
but today I finally reached the most satisfying mixture:
Cumin كمون
Cardamon هيل مطحون
Thyme زعتر أخضر
Try that, fry your (or your husband's) egg in a very hot pan with as least olive oil as possible, keep it on low fire for 3 minutes, spice it with CCT and some salt.
Lay down a piece of bread on a plate, the egg from the pan directly on the bread and then you can drop some cold olive oil on the egg.

Nael, try it my mother's way... she used to make eggs with butter (baladi) and garlic and thyme... maybe it will be intriguing as well??
